SmartestEnergy has signed a 15-year pre-construction CfD PPA with Greentech for the 26MW Chalkpit Solar Farm in Guston, Kent, marking Greentech’s first renewable energy project in the UK. The agreement covers both the pre- and post-commissioning phases, providing a long-term route-to-market and revenue certainty for the project throughout its operational life. SmartestEnergy said the Chalkpit Solar Farm will strengthen its renewable generation portfolio while supporting Greentech’s expansion into the UK market. The project is located on a 25 hectare piece of land and is expected to generate 30GWh annually.
